Waipukurau & District Scottish Society


 

The Waipukurau and District Scottish Society was formed in 1952 "To promote situations where people may meet and enjoy the traditions of Scotland" and "To create good fellowship at its functions and co-operation among Scottish Societies". In this tradition, it continues to hold Inglesides four times a year with loyal patronage from local and other Society members, and newcomers are welcome.

Inglesides are held on a Saturday evening at St Mary's Church Hall in Waipukurau, where a gathering of up to 80 people enjoy family entertainment featuring a variety of Scottish and old-time dances, items and raffles. A very nice supper is provided and all attending can be assured of a warm welcome.

The evening commences at 8pm and usually concludes around 11.30pm.

There is a minimal door charge of $2 for members, $4 for non-members, $1 for college students and no charge for children.

Inglesides are scheduled for: 6th February 2010
